Door card (mk2 F and TF). - How to remove
There are several jobs that need the door card removing.
It might be to fix the door lock, window mechanism, adjust the window stops, changing door speakers etc etc.
The first thing to do is remove the 2 cross headed screws at the rear edge of the door panel. Remember to put them somewhere where you won't lose them.
Now remove the top front screw.
Remove the 2 screws that hold the door pull in place.
And pull out the finisher.
Now remove the single screw behind the door handle.
Pull the finisher forward
Turn the finisher through 90 degrees and remove it.
Now you need to release the clips along the bottom of the door card.
You can use a screwdriver to lever it, or buy a proper trim removal set.
Use the tool to “pop†the clips out.
And pull the bottom of the door card away from the door.
Next you need to pull the small rubber seal out of the way and manoeuvre the card to clear the door locking pin.
Pull the card up to clear the pin.
Now slide the card backwards to clear the mirror/wind cheater.
And remove the door card.
Remember, if you have a tweeter fitted then you will need to unplug the speaker cable
Your door card is now removed.
Refitting is the reverse of removing.

A very good guide - worked for me. One small tip, It's better to remove the door handle finisher before the door pull just in case the door handle screw decided to fall in to the door...the door pull will catch it.
