i've just checked, it cost me £37:95 and it's still in the jiffy bag from MGBreakers.

And Dieter is wrong on this one, believe me. It looks like the same motor but is wired the other way around. I put up a thread about it, because I bought a new freelander motor, fitted it and kept blowing fuses.

I bought this second hand one before I figured out how to make the Freelander one work. Basically I had to demount the circuit board and isolate it from the casing.
I'll find the thread.

This is the important bit I discovered.

Discovered the problem.
Look at the switch diagrams on the MGF

and Freelander

MGF switched earth; Freelander switched live.

Hmmmmmm, Why does the F and TF have different wiring to every single other MGR for the wiper circuit?

Probably the same as a metro wiper motor.

Nope. Metro motor is wired the other way round. I tried to fit a metro delay unit when I first did the R800 stalk mod back in 2006 and blew fuses.

JoH is yours full of water?

Best mod I did was block up the drivers side vent on the scuttle panel... Bingo no more water in the wiper motor
