Hello,

As per me, the fact that the car starts intermittently and the dash lights don’t always come on points to a potential electrical connection problem. Check for any moisture or corrosion around the ignition switch, and ensure the wiring harness is secure. It’s also worth inspecting the fuses and relays for any signs of water damage. If the problem persists, the ignition barrel itself might need replacing.

Thanks

Hi,

If you're eyeing another tool that you think might come in handy, it’s likely you'll find plenty of uses for it once you have it. Treat yourself- you might end up wondering how you ever worked without it, just like with the 1/4” ratchet.

No problem at all. Given the symptoms, it sounds like you're dealing with minor leaks in the hoses. Since it's a high-mileage car, replacing all hoses is a sensible move to prevent future issues. Converting to a PRT system can improve cooling, especially for long-term reliability, but it's a bit more involved. If you're comfortable with the extra work and want better cooling efficiency, the PRT conversion is worth considering. Otherwise, sticking with the current setup and just replacing the hoses should suffice.

Thanks
