Salts Mill & Wetherby Whaler

For everyone 'OOP NORTH' I am arranging a run on Sunday 17 January, weather permitting.

Starting at Ferrybridge Services on the A1 - 10.00am meet for a 10.15am start - the run will take us through the villages of West Yorkshire, skirting around Leeds, arriving in Saltaire for lunch at Salts Mill. We hope to arrive at Salts Mill around Midday so people can join us there if they wish.

There is plenty to do, see and buy at Salts Mill so come prepared..!! Lunch will be at Salts Diner which caters for all tastes.

The afternoon run will see us depart Saltaire and head towards Ilkley before meandering along Wharfedale to our final stop in Wetherby. Here you can peruse the local shops, pop in to a local hostelry or stop for tea at the Wetherby Whaler.

Wetherby is on the A1, so is an excellent place to finish the run, allowing friends from North and South an easy route back home.

If the snow is still around the route will be modified to use more major roads.

I hope you have a good excuse Gos, and dont try the 500 mile round trip one - its been used soooo many times..!! :whistle:

I will have my ears pinned back - have contacted youngbill and he is going to let me take his for a spin

Sorry about the clash of dates - I didnt realise yours was that day when I sorted out my date..!!

Its looking iffy due to the snow here in any case..!!

don't worry about it mate if we tried to organize all the meets/runs around each other we'd never get anywhere! lol

Thanks to the big thaw it looks likely that this run will go ahead as planned.
