Apparently not. The vented discs disperse heat better, but also resist warping due to the nature of their construction.

Im planning to fitt 280mm vented rear discs with 2 pot callipers..
Wont be cheap though and I will need 2 spot callipers for the handbrake..
Im looking to fit VW Corrado front discs as rears.. they are 280mm by 22mm
HiSpec make spot callipers in any width up to 34mm wide

I agree mate - must be something really massive happening with the caliper - pushing one side only?
