Bonjour a tous
We're very fortunate to be able to have a Summer-only car in a permanently hood-down climate and with an active MG group nearby - we've already been on several runs and been part of displays at local events.
Our car came from a family we know, one owner, FSH, minimal mileage, always garaged and totally rust free - at a ludicrously low price thanks to the current UK market. Bought in England and then easily re-registered here in France it's value doubled overnight - TFs and Fs are rare and sought after here.
The TF is part of an eclectic collection of vehicles - a diesel Picasso for shopping and motorways; a Suzuki 4x4 for hauling the trailer full of logs up from the river and a 22-year-old almost as-new, classic Hymer/Fiat Camping Car (motorhome). Each has a purpose and has so far avoided the planned thinning out!
We run a holiday 'Gite' just for couples - http://www.CharenteMaritimeGite.co.uk - and are always pleased to welcome any MG owners.
What's that black canvas thing behind the seats for?

To answer a few points.
Here are some photos:

We're always pleased to welcome MGs at the gite - but we're booking up quickly...! 10% discount for T-Bar members out of the main holiday season.
This is a great area for MGs, quiet roads, lovely old towns, great beaches and almost guaranteed hood-down weather. Make sure you have a hat and a light long-sleeve shirt (please don't ask how I know).
Also don't forget the Circuits des Remparts just down the road at Angouleme - a spectacle not to be missed.
The TF is RHD - Fs and TFs seem to be immune to the traditional French refusal to buy RHD, the attitude seems to be 'it's an English sports car - the wheel should be over there'! The adjuster on the lights gets TFs through the French CT (MoT equivalent) at the moment so registration is easy. Fs are trickier for several reasons.
