Hi all!
My name is Roderick, 36 years ago i left the factory and i’m from the Netherlands.
I’m the owner of a 1.8i MG F from ‘96 vin-number (009839) in amaranth color since december 2018. I did a lot of upgrades/ restores in the meanwhile. Everytime i am looking for some information on google i end up here, so why no sign up!
The car is in good condition on the under the body part, and that was one of the reasons i bought it, no rust so every upgrade worth it.
I did the timingbelt with cam-oilseals, waterpump, a new brakeline RL, tires, gear lever cover, handbrake cover, trophy headlights, battery, Mike Satur FCCkit and last week i revised the front brake calipers.
Also bought a hardtop and an extra softtop, which i still have to assemble.
For all the other subjects in the future i am safe now here

Well i don’t know the numbers, but i think pretty much. I live on a small island in the south of the Netherlands near Rotterdam and if i imagine a radius of 10 miles in a few seconds i can count about 5-6 F’s and a TF by heart only on the island. Nearby Rotterdam is an earlier dealer of rover mg which still operates in mg’s and rovers and is still in the old style of billboards and old family business manner of working. I’ve been there several times for parts and last time when they had the same F like mine for parts before demolition. There are also a few forums for NL owners, where pretty much entousiasts are active. My car is originally German from ‘96 to ‘02 when it came to the Netherlands. I know the details thanks to Dieter’s help by mail when i sent him my vin-number. But now i’m driving a MGF i notice how much there still driving around. On a big car selling app there are 47 F’s and 35 TF’s for sale at the moment.

Welcome Roderick,
Greetings from Rotterdam. Are you living at Flakkee? My F is there always in winter in a shed.
The garage you mentioned is that Nico in Hekelingen?
Groeten

Lievaart was an original dealer, but they operate like it never ended. I ordered some original parts and did a hydragas height level check before the fcckit. The fcckit i did it myself. If you are curious, you can contact me.
