Little advice - (alternator + battery)
Control alternator + battery - For those who do not know.
When the engine is started and included the majority of consumers filling should be about 14 ± 0.5 volt, depending on the Ah battery and the number of consumers involved, the alternator charging well.
When the engine is turned off on the battery voltage should be 12.6 V at the correct battery.

the above is partly correct as the voltage charging the battery can be as high as 14.8v dependant on load ect as per ISO 13766
also a fully charged battery can give 13.00v with no load
also depends on the quality of the multimeter
best to use a good quality one above the £80 cost
