I wouldn't say it can't be done, but the accuracies involved would make it very difficult to get a beam that would pass a test.

Even getting something 1mm out at the bulb end could result in 1M out at the other end of the beam.

They're breaking a TF at the moment in Germany:

Ersa-Recycling

Don't know which parts are available, but it's worth a try.

The lens assembly and the blanking plate are riveted and offset. It was next to impossible to change even with the rest of the lamp cut away it is impossible to get to them through the front.
I know I should have taken photos but I just kept taking pieces of it and cutting holes to see if keyhole surgery was possible.

You can only acess the light through the front lens and the reflector is riveted in before the back is moulded on.
I destroyed a light trying to do it.

Search in Germany for used.
Let me know if you find some :broon:

regarding to the item description it has to be a german version.

Did you contact the dismantler in German or English? If you like I could contact them for you, I also would have a german delivery address if they do not send abroad.

You could always go the Diesel destroyer route. Destroy the originals and make up your own. :P

There's a code given in the ebay advert:-
XBC002510
This corresponds to a RHD left headlamp

LHD codes are
XBC002520
XBC002530

I know someone who has taken a ZR to Germany and had to but a pair of LHD headlamps to go through their 2 year TuV test (like our MoT) they won't accept the flip over thing as its for temporary use.
