Opinion - Selling MG TF..

I am thinking of selling my MG TF and would like your opinions(good or bad) on how much it might be worth, dont be affraid - I have thick skin.
I have owned this MG TF 135 since June 2003 when it was new, it has been garaged day and night apart from when we have been away for weekends.
39,500 realiable miles.
It has had no body work or repairs done(body wise everything is original)
The first two years MGRover did the services(book stamped), after that I did all services and repairs.
It has been washed nearly every week without fail and frequently polished..

Some of the 'Upgrades' I have done:

Recent Brake Disc's (Slotted) F + R
Coolant Alarm (MG Rover)

Stainless Steel Coolant Pipes
Remote boot opener

ReMap by Z and F Tuning

A thick folder full of servicing details and receipts, all MOT's and information.

Head Gasket done by me(Time served engineer of 40 years) last year complete with genuine MG Rover gasket and lower rail, cam belt + tensioner, coolant pump.

P.S. I wont be selling until next spring/summer..

dont do it, Im not a fan of red cars but yours is a bit of a favorite when ever i see photos of it.

Yould have to find an enthusiast to buy it, Joe Bloggs would not understand or appreciate, what year is it??

I'd say your looking at between 3 - 3.5k tbh less if it was eBayed you could end up with just under 3 on eBay.

Part ex could be a possibility. If I was in the market to buy a TF I'd be interested in this but I also have a low mileage TF with some of the things you have done and thinking of keeping as my tinkering toy at the weekend and daily driver to the train station and back.

Sorry for this sad news but an 05 reg on eBay for 2.5k at a dealer so that could be an indicator the tfs and fs are not vintage yet which drives the price down

The car is worth far more than you will get for it.

Unless you do a deal with SS, who can appreciate the time effort and money thats gone into it.

The cars will start increasing in value, but there are so many rough ones out there, buyers think they are all going to be bargain basement deals.

I'd keep it and have it for a smashing little run around, rather than just give it away.

In answer to the question.. My virtual bid is £2k public non enthusiast ie; ebay bidding war. £2.5k plus to a private enthusiast, via these forums, if advertised prior to the intended sale date.
