Been thinking of joining one of these for a while now, (mostly to get cheaper insurance).

Can't decide between the two?

I'm with the MGCC, get a good monthly mag, full of interest.

Peter Best give you a discount if your a member, dont know if the MGOC will give the same.

I'm in MGOC, got insurance with Lancaster on a Classic policy cost saving equated to free MGOC membership, free monthly mag etc, very cheap insurance but I'm on limited milage as I only use it April to October. Hope that helps.

I'm with the MGOC don't use it for insurance, got a better deal elsewhere. But use it for RAC as get a club discount with them

The 2 clubs operate quite differently. The MGOC has its own workshop and spares department whereas the MGCC uses partners. The MGOC has a lot of regional clubs whereas the MGCC has model registers. Both have great monthly magazines but my impression is that the MGOC magazine is a bit more focused on DIY on 'modern' MGs.

I'm with the MGOC but I use RIAS (for the over 50s) for insurance as they were cheaper than Lancaster. I also use the MGOC RAC deal. However, Peter Best (MGCC) has a good reputation as a broker who is happy to have an agreed value as no extra cost.

Good that we have the choice!

We're happy with the MGOC. Good mag, good range of spares etc. more and more magazine features on F and TF.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I joined MGCC rather than MGOC because of the separate MGF Register. It was a close decision though. I'm happy with my choice

I am a member of both, Have the F insured with Peter Best as it was far cheaper than Lancaster (who are no longer owned by MGOC) If I was asked to just choose one, I would opt for MGOC. :woohoo:

I joined MGOC because they have great how-to articles in the magazine that lately have been focused on the modern MG's, and I do enjoy the magazine overall. I do find that MGOC Spares have the best prices overall on spares for my F.

I do also get the MGCC's F/TF Register's quarterly magazine, which is also quite nicely done.

Thanks guys,
Sounds terrible I know, but I'm more interested in the insurance reductions than mags.
Seems to be a fairly even split so far.
