Hi All
I have fitted a glass rear screen to my MGTF and therefore have a roll hoop [ mg/rover type ] to sell I have the brackets also. There is NO DRILLING to be done as the brackets fit into the seat belt and hood holes. There are no marks on the hoops and I would like £175 for them or nearest offer
thanks
John

There are glass rear windows that fit with x power roll hoops.

Here's a link with more info Mogatrons.http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/DIY/hoops/index.htm

Hi Bob
That link only shows MY HOOPS and they get in the way of my MGMANIA glass screen by 5mm-8mm

I had the same hoops on my old Sunstorm TF; really safe and strong in a rollover situation as they mount on the seat belt anchor mounting posts so they increase body rigidity and side impact protection.

The down side is fitting a windstop and you can't use with a rear glass screen as it's in the way.

Still probably the best looking hoops for the TF,

However I did manage to cut and mount a piece of plexi on the front side of the hoops for the windstop.

Hmm ... I'm wondering if my Newton Commercial windstop could be arranged to fit behind the hoops ... and if so what it would look like :-?

The Newton has the advantage of being double jointed on it's brackets ... but possibly wouldn't fit behind the TBar with the hoops installed .....

I'm doubtful. :(

They may still fit if you have the smaller version rear glass screen. When dropping the hood, get hold of the bottom of the rear screen and pull horizontally backwards.

I have the same MG XPower hoops fitted to my TF together with a rear glass screen from MGMANIA for nearly 2 years now. When I bougth the rear screen Peter told me that it is not possible to fit it with the mk1 XPower hoops. But I bougth one and gave it a try. It's true that the hoops get in the way for about 5mm and you can't put the hood flat down when open, but that's no issue when driving. The rear screen isn't stressed at all and it won't break. I can even fit the XPower tonneau cover (the one with the integrated mesh windstop) without any problems.
Try it out first before selling your hoops.
