Hey guys, this is a sneek peek at the work i've accomplished in the past 3 months or so :D

Why project Alexander you ask? My car's name is Bucephalus, a legendary Thresselican Stallion which was wild... Alexander the Great Tamed Bucephalus and His father bought him for Alexander who rode him to war... simples

Background:

This all started when i was feeling pretty down with myself, just broke up with the ex, lost my job, the usual... Bucephalus was off the road thanks to not been able to afford insurance and all round i was a bit fed up... then Kara bought GW and with the patience of a saint allowed me to buy GWs seats which were high on my list of what i wanted to do to my TF... this sparked a wave of cheap but effective mods most of which are now done and Bucephalus will hopefully be ready for the road a week today now I'm employed again!

Pictures will be updated as i do them but here is a few shots of my custom exhaust... about 6 months ago i bought a old OEM one from a scrappy and hollowed it out but for some reason it resonated like a burger and a tail pip snapped off... i discovered why later on and got another exhaust for £20 off a mate from the Teesside meets :D... the process began again....

This is the inside of a standard OEM exhaust, as u can see very inefficient and far to quiet!

This is all the baffles and sound deadening cut out, a steel sheet was then welded over and sprayed with galvanizing spray :D... it might not be as shiny as your milteks and daytons but it sounds as good (at least to me please don't flame :P obviously I'm biased i did this work myself lol) and all it cost me was £20 and a cutting disk :D

I'll try and get a sound clip up next week :) the ECU, battery and such are disconnected atm ready to weld in GWs harnesses

Still to come:

Custom Sprayed Interior
Custom sprayed Engine bay
Red lit dash and switches
Plexi Glass engine cover and custom T-Bar/center cubby
My secret mod!!!!

Teesside meet, open to all MG/Rs. 3rd Sunday of the month, ask for times and places!!!

Nice mod to the exhaust and ideal if you want to retain the standard look with a better sound.

When you get a chance, post up a sound/video clip of your exhaust, will be interesting to hear that:yesnod:

Andy-MGTF my have a great tin opener but Adam-MGTF beats him with his angle grinder :P

just fixed my pc lol, low on the list of priorities, the secret mod is... secret :P just have to wait patiently guys lol... getting the brackets welded in for the seat harnesses has proven a bit more of a job than i'd expected and has set me back unfortunately :( though it should look awesome when done :D

OK guys sorry for the hiatus but i've ran into a few stumbling blocks... not least of which i no longer have access to a welding set and without one i can't weld in GW's harnesses!!!

anyway im nearly finished the dash, should of finished it ages ago but i've been so frustrated about not being able to finish the seat install that i've left it for now lol

Butttt i got my switch plugs and a new heater front through the post this week (thanks MGFnTFbitz and VVC Steve :D) so I'm spurred on to the final stretch

Heres a quick pic of the secret mod i've been planning... Kara got a quick peek of this over msn well over a month ago now and i cant wait anymore to show off :D so here goes

My Custom Clocks:

These were done with painstaking patience and allot of hard work by Martind1, a ZR driver who is a genius with photoshop... i knew very clearly what i wanted my clocks to look like but without his expertise i could never have done them, i just don't have the patience on the PC

anyway i've never seen a set of completely custom clocks and i think these look awesome, i was a bit concerned having Adam-MGTF was a bit tacky but if you see them you can obviously see there very high quality so i think it works :D

the back light for the Odomiter and the lights for the clocks themselves have also been replaced with red bulbs, night pics will follow later today hopefully with pics of the rest of the red dash conversion and the oil temp and 12hr clocks which are also custom :)

They look the dog's mate....:yesnod:

Love the Adam-MGTF bit, tbh, I think that does make them even better. Not tacky at all...

Looking fantastic mate! Love the idea of custom dials! Really awesome feature! :respect:

(Although you do know that one of the dials should have said "Adam-MGTF" and the other one "Bruce" :p )
