I've just tagged all my threads in my guides, btw.
Thank you David!

its the inlinks that count.
also you need as many keywords on the site that when someone types in the search say MG owners club it will place this site first because of the rlevent keywords it finds.
for example google CBT + preston see what you get. then do cbt + chorley then cbt + wigan. then analise the site and see how many times those keywords are deliberately mentioned in the text body or headings.
see which company apperars nearest the top the most...
That would be me of course (greenlight rider training).. and the good part it hasnt cost me a penny to get it there.

Such as " when I was at the MG OWNERS CLUB meet last week"
that will all help to get you to number 1.
another example is type Yves Adele Harlow into google
1st page listing second one down is t-bar.org reason is simple , its most relevent to t-bar site than anywhere else on the net.

Wow thank you so much for your advice Phil!
So in that case the way forward is to try & get as many mg related sites to link to us as possible.
When you say to use more keywords can those words be anywhere e.g. in thread titles, headers etc.?

you could email other MG sites and ask if they would put a link to t-bar.org but usually in exchange they would want you to reciprocate the link.
you can do this by creating another forum topic and calling it other useful MG sites and stick them in there.

Why thank you David! I think that will definitely help! It's so nice to think we are building a name for ourselves in the MG community. The "other" forum is already so well known that it doesn't really need any help getting it's name about so it's nice to be able to be a part of something from the begining and not only watch its growth but be a part of it! :piratebang:

however they will have to be able to access the html code for thier web pages and be able to upload the edited page up to their hosting server

Ok thank you but you make that sound like it's a bad thing towards the end there.
