Nintendo Wii... what's that all about?
Played it for the first time round MGorilla's house on Sunday evening and was up til 1am playing!
Woke up mon morning in absolute agony so staggered down to Blockbuster & traded in my xbox 360 & games to get the Wii with Sports Resort. Also picked up Need for Speed (brilliant btw), Lightsaber Duels & House of the Dead. I have never had so much fun playing games! In the last 3 days I've been bowling, skydiving, water skiing, flying a plane, shooting zombies, racing sports cars, playing archery, battling with Count Dooku and so much more! And it's REALLY good excercise! I'm shattered! Frank had to lift me out of bed & dress me yesterday morning because I had strained all the muscles in my back & couldn't move but I don't care because it was just so damn fun! :woohoo:
If you haven't got a Wii yet then I highly recommend one!
If you have - what games do you recommend?

:OMG:OMG I had the Lego Star Wars Saga for xBox but didn't realize they did it for the Wii! For a completely unrelated reason I'm logging off now and going into town. :outtahere:
Back soon but not sure if I'll be online for the next 24 hours!
Ooh btw what's your fav sport on Wii Sports Resort? Mine's Archery & Franks is bowling! He got a strike on the 100 pin game first time he played it! How's that fair? :dunno:

Posted 15 years 4 days ago #3320I enjoy shooting people online on my xbox360 that bit too much to use the wii very often
But for those who prefer playing actual games rather than killing people, they're great! Wiis are really good fun specially when there are a few of you playing, my teenage boys aren't really into the whole 'lets have an evening together of the wii' thing at the mo, although no doubt come xmas holidays we'll all be there trying to smash the light fittings again

Posted 15 years 4 days ago #3321was great fun to start with but the novelty soon wore off and now its just a dust collector unless family or friends are round for the evening

Don't suppose you want to sell the Wii + Wii Fit?

Nope! :nonod: :sorry:
It does get used occasionally, probably not enough to justify having it tbh, but I can't sell it cos I know as soon as I got rid of it we'd want to play on it! :gamer:

I could be wrong but if you're a more serious gamer then the xbox seems better whereas if you just want to kick back and have a laugh with friends or family the wii is better. We're not huge gaming fans so this suits us perfectly.
Although I must say I did enjoy the House of the Dead because we bought guns so that we could actually shoot the zombies. Debating at the mo whether it's worth getting the new Call of Duty. Also we bought these glow stick imitation lightsabers that you attach to your wii remote for playing Lightsaber Duals and OMG I have never had so much fun! :jedifight:

That's fair enough, thought I'd ask though!

Totally agree with this  As a family we're are pretty big on gaming so xbox does suit us best in that respect.
Wii is much more of a friends & fun thing - am loving the sound of the glow-stick light sabers!
