Heeeelp!!!!!!!!! Bonnet problems!!!!!!!
Something is stopping it sitting correctly... basically at the front (above the headlights) it sits too high and this also means the striker isn't working properly. Now the bonnet was originally off a TF but I was quite confident the TF headlights are the same shape at the top as the F ones so why isn't it lowering all the way down? Please help!!!!!

I have tried every combination of tightness and looseness to each bolt on the two hinges and nothing really seems to make a huge difference, the bonnet just sits about an inch too high above the headlights! :frown:
Anyone got a how to on how to fit a bonnet?

Posted 15 years 1 day ago #3602Assuming the bonnet is not buckled, the only adjustment is on the hinges, oh and the little rubber stops.Yves Adele Harlow;3599 wrote: This is so pants! :frown: Neither of us understand why it's not working!
How is the bonnet sitting along the wing channels?

Removed the rubber stops and that didn't make a difference. :frown:
The bonnet is sitting fine along the wing channels until it gets towards the headlights then it just starts flaring up.

Posted 15 years 1 day ago #3604Then I have to ask, and I don't know the answer - Is the TF bonnet exactly the same as an F bonnet?:confused:Yves Adele Harlow;3603 wrote: Removed the rubber stops and that didn't make a difference. :frown:

Posted 15 years 1 day ago #3605I hate to say it but it sounds buckled! Only other thing it might be is the striker spring... undo the lock nut under the spring and screw it inwards.....Yves Adele Harlow;3603 wrote: Removed the rubber stops and that didn't make a difference. :frown:

Well Frank removed the striker spring/unit all together and it did make it sit a teeny bit lower but still not flush with the wings. Ok I hate to ast this but if it's buckled what can be done? :frown:
The trouble is the pic of it on the ebay listing showed it fitting completely fine so not sure why it's not fitting the same on Slave!
