I couldn't leave this thing alone; it was bugging the hell out of me.
So I thought, can I add the favicon myself?
I had a look at the add-ons for Firefox and there is one to add your own favicons - 'Favicon Picker 3' So I've just downloaded it and now you can right click on the bookmark and you can browse to any icon on your computer.
So I added one of my favicons and hey!, now I had my own personal favicon in the bookmarks list; in the address bar; and in the tab! Woohoo!
However that is not the end of the story. I noticed that the add-on had an options button, so I pressed it and got this:-

Well I unticked the box and my favicon was suddenly replaced by the official t bar favicon!
Not only that, but as I had cleared my cache I had lost all my previously stored favicons, and they hadn't reappeared.:shake:
Now, almost every site I visit is leaving favicons!!
I know I'm easily pleased but:-
:woo2: :woo2:

No!
But I did know a few words in Greek in the dim & distant past. (ie: 'Orkhis Kuon'. Sorry, pitiful 3rd form joke.
My God! We knew everything. We could have ruled the world then. Unfortunately, some of them do now.)
How do I find these 'tabs' ???
Bit dim when it comes to this sort of thing. I mainly use computer for reports, surveys and calcs.,CAD, legislation & business communication. You know, the usual technical stuff.
I do know that there ain't nuffin nowhere what looks anyfink like a favicon or any ovver sort o' con.

the red circle shows the favicon on the address bar.
Below that (Just below the "most visited") is a single tab.

Apart from being quite a good film about stealing an advanced russian fighter plane, what is 'Firefox'????
Ah! I can see the icon on my desktop. No idea what it is for though.

Firefox is just the name of an internet browser like "Internet Explorer" but it's better. :yesnod:

I've not tried Google chrome so I guess it could be good... anything is better than Internet Explorer! See this short explanation as to why: http://lifehacker.com/software/feature/special-top-ten-reasons-to-switch-to-firefox-126313.php ...and Internet Explorer has something ridiculous like 13 more security vulnerabilities that FF.
