Yes that looks as if it would complement the standard illumination.

I'm sorry but I can't see the point in these cheap stereos. I know most people arent worried that much about sound quality etc but some of them are horrific.

Halfords does a line called 'sendai' and the build quality is about in-line with a 1985 hyundai standard fit stereo.

I can't comment specifically on the ones mentioned in this thread, but as a general rule I would steer well clear of these. (The one in the link looks like 1992 hyundai)

The 2/3 year warranty may look attractive but as these are seasonal my bet is that if it breaks its being shipped to a shed in Kasakstan for 5 weeks leaving you with no stereo!

A half decent sony with bluetooth can be had for under £100.

For information, Halfords are doing 50% off on some of their ice at the moment.

Meg's got the earlier Medion one and apart from the bluetooth sound being 'windy' when the roof is off I've not had any reset problems - maybe it was something on the second batch as I heard a few of that happening.

Maplins are also selling a stereo with a similar spec for about that price.

From reading on another forum, totally different vehicle not 'The other place' there appears to be an issue with similar units purchased from Aldi which look very similar.

Members of that forum are saying that batteries drain quickly when the Alsi radio is fitted. ( Connections to the multi plug appear to have been done incorrectly and most of the radio is powered when off rather than just the memory and other stuff)

Anyone bought one of these?

Older but certainly not wiser!

I don't have one of these stereos but in general with Aldi & Lidl stuff, their 3 year warranty is good - I have had to make a claim for a broken item as did someone else I know. The warranty info suggests having to send the item back but in our experience, you call the helpline and they send a replacement out - without having to return the old item.
