Peter Clark?
85?
Cant find an MG connection though!
.........unless its that he drove for HRG and HRG supplied tuning parts for MG, e.g. Cylinder heads?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Got to say...... Love taking part: hate having to think of a question to challenge my much more learned friends on the rare occasions that I get it right!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

You're correct John, sometimes coming up with a new question is a challenge, that is what makes it fun

With MG's wonderful history, cars, people, places, engines, world land speed records, races, to name but a few there are hundreds of MG Quiz questions waiting to be asked. Sometimes people try and make it too complicated, a photo of a part from an unusual angle or a T-Bar event are just as worthy as questions.

Remember the question can be about anything as long as there is an MG link in there somewhere.

Well Done John. It is indeed Marcus Chambers who later became BMC Competitions manager. Here is a link to his obituary in The Guardian.

While researching the question I found this film about the MGA team on the 1956 Alpine Rally

I am a bit time strapped today and tomorrow for a range of reasons: also laptop is at work and ipod not the best research tool! Can someone set a q in the meantime please? Sorry and all that....
