Item that 1 is taken away, is a MGF petrol tank :broon:

Is this something to do with EX255 and Andy Green? Can't link everything up, but EX255 would have had the standard fuel tank removed, and the special panels were built by Mayflower, which Google tells me was in Wigan. Trainspotting link, I have no idea.

Nice try MG mad, but the correct story.

OK I'll give a bit of help with the clues and if no one gets the correct answer in the next few hours I'll post the answer and a new question.

It is to do with the removal of the petrol tank and the addition of 13 (what ?).

The two men, also from Wigan, did not get the result they wanted, unlike the Wigan football team. The driver was called Mr Green.

What was Trainspotting about?

More than enough help, don't be lazy T-Bar folk, become a detective and tell us the story ;)

Two men were jailed for smuggling 13 kilos (29lb) of pure heroin into the UK. Jeffery Green and Paul Gleeson were both from Wigan. The heroin was found behind a panel near to the fuel tank of an MG, bought by Gleeson, driven by Green.

:woohoo: Tui - you're back, the MG Quiz has missed your well researched input :hugs:

Yes this was the drug smuggling MGF from Wigan

They put a new small tank under the bonnet and filled the space left by the removed petrol tank with drugs. The 2 received a 7 year prison sentence each (hence the 2 x 7 result in the original question)

In 2010, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp starred in the Film...

Putting that together with the satellite image of Ireland and the world cup you get the Ireland Tourist Trophy

That just left a Rolex and 7 :-?

Is this the story behind Rolex Monterey Motorsports ReunionPre-1940 Sports & Touring Car group. In which Pete Thelander drove his 1934 MG NE Tourist Trophy Magnette. The car being one of seven made for the 1934 Irish Tourist Trophy Race?

Here is a link to an article about the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Here is Pete Thelander and his wife Fran with the beautiful MG NE

Good question Tui great to have you in the quiz again :hugs: Hope I got the right story

In 1965 MGB GT was introduced and we nearly got a TF GT but it was not to be.

The MGTF GT concept car did not share the alloy wheels of the TF convertible.

The question is in two parts

a.) Name the wheel make and the specific model of alloys used on the TF GT concept car?

b.) Which other MG used wheels from this manufacturer as standard?

Almost there MG mad

... Gunsmoke is the colour.

You need to state the specific model of alloy and be careful there are a few versions of it
