:omg: thought Martin had it then after I just checked and realised the RV8 didn't have ABS.

What is the small component


CLUES:

The component in the image is factory fitted to some post 1995 MGs only, and debuted in the MGF.
This component was also fitted in a few Rovers of the era, but the MGF was the first to use it.
Only some MGFs had/have this fitted.

We have so far ruled out;

EPAS
ABS
the valve from the carbon wotsit that does something with the doohickey and makes the world wonderful
the very useful secure coin storage, designed specifially for the 1953 half-crown
Glasses holder
a bit under the ash tray that a screw goes into or something like that
Top of the throttle pedal and ...
a dead body

For pity's sake :bang: Someone with a VVC engine pop out and identify the part.



MG mad I did a google and couldn't spot this part on the VVC mechanism. I no answer posted by the time you read this please put us out of our misery and set a new question. :beer:

its the little sliding bit front in the vvc mechanism that fell out and ended up on our garage floor :broon:
