Planely on the right track... And the left one as well.

Ok, its been asked before! Claim a win chaps, and set a new q!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

John asked

AW41
WW2

MG connection?

When war broke out in1939 the M.G. factory was made into a war machine factory. One of the first assignments was repairing and maintaining the Matilda tanks. Modifying existing cars into light lorries was also done.

However, Cecil Kimber had big plans for the factory, which was not considered well by his employers. In 1941 Cecil had secured a contract on assembling the cockpit for the Armstrong Whitworth A.W. 41 Albemarle bomber. During the following years the M.G. factory made more that 900 cockpits which was a fantastic achievement. This contract, however, got Cecil fired from the M.G. factory in November 1941.

Manchester Royal Infirmary,Oxford Road, Chorlton Upon Medlock, Manchester. it was the date of the 1911 Census and Cecil Kimber was an inpatient. He smashed his right knee cap when he crashed his Rex motorcycle, nearly had his leg amputated and he had a 2 year convalescent period

That's very good alanrt54, top marks for the info provided, however the question is what address would he have slept at with Phyllis Kathleen and Vernon Sidney had he not had the accident on the Rex Twin.
