One at each corner for suspension and 2 on the rear axle as an anti-tramp solution?
Old Fart Useless Fact Corner:
Older drivers will know this, but:
Strictly speaking, springs are shock absorbers, the telescopic units are dampers to reduce spring reaction. To stop bouncing in other words. So, coilovers are a combined suspension and damper unit.

....but:
yes, correct!
The TA was replaced by the TB Midget in May 1939 with the fitting of a smaller but more modern XPAG engine as fitted to the Morris 10 but in a higher tuned state and like the TA with twin SU carburettors. This 1250 cc I4 unit featured a slightly less-undersquare 66.6 mm (2.6 in) bore and 90 mm (3.5 in) stroke and had a maximum power output of 54 hp (40 kW) at 5200 rpm. Available as either an open 2-seater or more luxurious Tickford drophead coupé, this is the rarest of the T-type cars with only 379 made.

......which used an RV8 engine.

That is the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and it had a 7.7L V12, which was basically two of it’s inline 6’s (used in other TVR models alone) put together. When TVR attempted to get an actual measure of the engine’s power on a dynamometer, it broke the input shaft. They wound up testing each bank of the engine separately. Each side read 480hp for a total output of 960hp in a car that weighed just over a ton.
As for the MG link, I'll have a look tonight if you don't figure it out.

To be honest, I am not a huge TVR fan ( heresy, i hear you cry!)
The later models do appear much the same to me: the earlier ones had a bit more individuality in my opinion, but were, once again in my opinion, were glorified unreliable 'bitsa' cars.
Quirky is kinda fun in a cheap car, but in the mega-thousands: no.

I think this is based on a MG TF.
The first photo is of Apa 'Super Sherpa' (born Lhakpa Tenzing Sherpa), who is most famous for having reached the summit of Mount Everest 21 times.
The second photo is of a one off car, like the MG I'm thinking of.
Is the car we are searching for the unique 1954 MG TF Everest bodied by Ghia.
The car was sold in 2007 at which time the description read; The vehicle was rarely used by its first owner and later formed part of a museum collection where it has spent most of its life. This vehicle has covered just 6300 miles since being delivered new in 1954. Never restored and today still in its original condition.
