MG T-Bar Quiz
I give you two possible answers and you want to ban me for six months...
Ok, who can spot the discrepancy between my photo of the MGB GT in the cowshed that PQD so blatantly nicked (and how I knew it was my photo straight away ) and the photos in the thread by Bryan Young?

The millionth MG produced was a MGB roadster in green with special gold stripe made in October 1975.
The factory donated it as the Grand Prize in the Bi Centennial Rally put on by the New England MG T Register. It was for T series cars only and covered all the capitals of the original 13 colonies of the US. The total mileage was about 2000 miles per car and one car did it in 1776 miles. The car was won by the team of Brad Wladis and George Cookson from Syracuse NY.
:bang: Searched for ages on the net and I can't find a photo of it.

If anyone has a photo featuring the 1,000,000 th MG ever produced, a 1975 MGB (
click here to see answer to previous question
), would you please post it or a link to it. :broon:
Very strange how such a significant milestone in MG history has virtually no coverage on the www
OK time for a new question..
What is the story behind 1,248 being made and called (something) 1/2 ? Why did they do it?

1,248 is the 1974-1/2 MGB GT for the North American market, as opposed to the 5273 Roadsters of the same 1974-1/2 moniker. In theory, there were more made but the above figures relates to the cars exported to North America.
The 74&1/2 GT is the last of the MGB GTs to be sold in the USA as the car was too heavy for the power produced by the 1975 spec engines on Stromberg carbs, and in fact only just managed to give the Roadster a reasonable turn of speed. The change in spec from 1975 was to meet the stringent emissions required for the NA market.

Quick question and I am sure you all know the answer so if you don't hear from me for the next 10 hours while en-route to Malaysia, then go ahead and post a new question.
By what names were the two types of alloy wheel designs known as when the Z range was launched in 2001?
