New MG - would you buy one?

The MG6 - hmmm.... I'm undecided. As a car I think it's a great looking family saloon. Plus although it actually came to life under the guise of the Chinese it is in fact a remodel of the car that MGR were working on before they went bust, so its roots are securely planted in the UK. So far I think it looks just a little too far east to be a true MG... it's a pity Land Rover wouldn't let Nanjing buy the Rover name back (whch they will never use at Land Rover anyway) as the MG6 would be great as a new style Rover. After all Rover were always looking to push the envelope of their designs - take the SD1 for example, a groundbreaking car in its time.. then then the Princess, the forerunner to all bubble/wedge shaped saloons.
MG6 is too retro for me it looks like an old princess with a facelift, not good enough really (I hated the old princess).
yes I would by a new TF if I could afford it, however I think the Chinese are treading water at the moment with a safe corner of the market ie; family saloon + time and tested soft top, I expect and hope they will look into a few concept ideas and come up with something that has 2 seats and a roof that comes down (not necessarily a soft one) a revolutionary body styling with a touch of MG class. I expect also that I am asking too much.

As for the MG6 to replace my ZT it all depends on performance and pricepoint. It's all a little too Mondeoish for my liking so it would have to be places well under the price of a good spec'd Mondeo. Thing is I find all the modern saloons being a bit samey at the front the ZT (PRE facelift) has a lovely mean looking front end which alas the 6 doesn't.
