clocks grrrrrrr
i CANNOT get the speed right and the rev counter is sticking and wont hit the rev limit properly... the fuel gauge doesnt work and either i have HGF or the water temp is buggered too....
so im thinking theres something wrong
any idea's??? i think it may be because the clocks im using are off a 1.8? (non vvc)

Could it not all be down to badly fitted needles?
Another possibility is a duff power stabiliser, but I'm not sure what these use and whether they even share the same supply.

i didnt understand all that... but no matter what i do with the needles it's just not working
edit: im thinking maby if the gearbox is different on the 1.8 (which i think it is as the clutch is different) and the gear ratios are different (which they are) then surely the speedo would be off wouldn't it? or am i trying to be too clever?

dont worry to much those speed signs are just advisories, when the car stops pulling change gear. my fuel guage works but i still ran out of fuel today - iwould try and sort the water temp thoughAdam-MGTF;5726 wrote: so im having some "issues" with my clocks

Have the clock been OK before and suddenly developed a problem or is this a set that you have fitted?

MGFmad;5758 wrote: Sounds like there is a problem with the whole clock set as you have a number of problems - If it was just and incorrect speed reading then its likely just down to the different ratios.

the clocks are off MGF n TF bitz so no idea if there is problems with them... i could try using my old ones again but i have no idea if i broke them somwhere along the line as i took them apart erm... enthusiastically
