High Jack / Lift - Engine removal tips
Some questions...
When the engine is off the frame could two people lift the frame over the engine?
My plan involves skullduggery and bribery from whoever is around and I was thinking of a big piece of wood / scaffold under the car once all engine bits disconnected then the royale "lift" and then someone pulls the tow rope with the engine on it?
Do you think its a good plan.
It will cost me a few rounds of beer and mockery by all the people on the street. :hugs:
I have a range of wood / 2 * trolley jacks and 4 * axle stands and two car ramps.
Do you think I can do it!
Jim says yes

Got it at a reasonable price second hand on ebay (used only once as far as I can see). Locally too.
One of the benefits of living in Devon is nobody else bids for what you're chasing on ebay, but likewise nobody bids for what you're selling on ebay either! It was pricey though but my wife insisted I bought it so as to not cut her off from my pension before she'd finished spending it all!
Made the job ever so easy but I have to say it took me far longer than everyone says it takes. Rusty bolts are a real pain.
I know 'superdaz' has one too.

Posted 12 years 4 months ago #58140All went to plan but be careful of the subframe, moving it the wheels twisted it and I just managed to get out of its way. Fair bit of weight involved and it will bite.
