Just out of curiosity what makes you think that your kenwood radio is coded??

Actually I was wondering that! If its an aftermarket set chances are coding isnt an option. Just bought a sony set: the security is the removable front! No coding option. The oem set in my jag is coded by jag.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I don't know for sure that it is coded. Google tells me that the Kenwoods are coded and gives me some 'likely' default numbers to try should I lose the code. So, I was trying to be prepared for getting locked out, until I thought up 'Plan B'. ;)

Thanks for the 'how to tips' guys. Tinkering day today. So bought replacement dashboard vents from Stoneleigh on Sunday and yesterday bought a new battery. A complete novice on all TF matters. :-?

So, a virgin with a new heavy duty battery...........I'm goin in.

hey battery sorted. took 10 mins. Although I have to ask why the battery bracket is at the back, where you cant reach, so improvisiation with some sticky tape, couldnt find the blue tack to hold the bolt in the extended rachet thingy. would have made the job a lot easier if the bracket was at the front Doh. :slapme: And the Kenwood radio works :omg:

I did have all day just incase. Now what can i do now. :pop:
