Buttercups horn is not working :omg:

It works fine on the alarm, we tested that at the F Reg meet last night ;)

However it is not working on the steering wheel :-?

We will check the fuse today, although that we were told yesterday the fuse was fine at the garage

Any ideas please :yesnod:

It sounds like it could be a bad connection under the center boss on the steering wheel where it plugs into the srs ring

You can start by disconnecting the battery and waiting 10 minutes then remove bolts on back of steering wheel and lifting the the airbag part of the steering wheel of carefully then checking the connections, if they all seem ok might be worth having a word with Ben to see if he has one off the car he broke foe spares as that was the same year. You can then try that first and see if it solves the problem without spending any money will see if i can find a how to.

Sorry been a bit late on the old reply..

Yes I do have one... It could be the wire on it thats got snagged.

I took a sterring wheel off my tips for you are:

Make sure that the battery is disconnected you need a torq 25 or 30 to get two nuts off the steering wheel then the airbag bit pulls off.

Then you just unclip what you don't want and clip the new one it.

My major tip is to draw a straight line on the steering wheel and spline where it comes off so that when you put your wheel back on it is straight.

I had two days of steering wheel thought it was left, car thought it was going right...

Strange

Hey I have that problem... But I think I have scavenged a wheel from .org so might have a spare one on its way.

My horn works so will make a sacrife for buttercup.

I'll post tomorrow or saturday.

Its light so will only be about 1 quid to send it. :broon: :broon: :broon:

Some photos here of what to do to get to the coupler.

It will be the black n yellow wire it clips into something that might be bust or the coupler itself?
