Brake upgrades
hey guys, I'm hopefully getting some Team dynamics alloys this week or next which means i can finally upgrade my front calipers to the AP Racing spec ones on the TF160
few quick questions, can i use them without ABS? while on the subject can you retrofit ABS to a TF115?
andddd.... is there an option to upgrade the rear breaks as well? i know the front breaking is more important than the back but obviously im upgrading the front so would like to upgrade the back to match
thanks guys

Hi Adam,
The MGF trophy LE's used the AP 4 pots and didnt have ABS so you should be fine on that score.
As for the rear brakes it's mostly a case of improved disc and pad combos ie grooved/ dimpled discs and mintex (eg1177s or EBC green / redstuff pads). The only F I've seen with improved rear brake calipers etc is the MGF supersports 2 which was a one off MGR concept car.
I run APs at the front and the original rears (for now) and it's fine IMHO.
Best of luck with the swap over.

I do know of someone (on another forum) who is producing 280mm conversions for the rear discs.
He also produces a 285mm conversion for the fronts.
Pm me, if you are interested in contacting him.:snow:
