i was warned you where coming, horror stories about your bad side, catching out the unweary, causing untold damage, and suffering. on tuesday you covered my world all i could see was you, on the roads pavements and the fields. at first i was cautious of your dreaded reputation, but i got to know you i saw you as a friend - we had fun, slipping and sliding, spinning wheels - you made me smile. alas all thing come to an end, the gritter are winning the battle, the weather is above freezeing and you are fading away. so goodbye snow and ice, ill still look for you on the back roads but im sure our days of fun are drawing to a close. it been a blast!:bye:

im bored a little drunk and BBC weather just forecast more snow for the north east so i decided poetic isnt a bad idea

Alas! Fresh for-casts arise,
2 inches by morning
shall fall from the skies

Garaged and lonely, our cars sit and shiver
struggling through ice our sports-cars slither
not made for this weather, summer don't dither!

so start up the engines pick out a rout,
up go our roofs
its time to head south!

shelly I'm not but it amused me

Teesside meet, open to all MG/Rs. 3rd Sunday of the month, ask for times and places!!!

Very nice Adam! :yesnod:

I suppose an English graduate I should do some sort of poem to but I'm going to come up with some cop out like "my poetry is too good for mortal man to hear" and hope no one probes me any further.

Would actually be quite fun to have a drunken threads section but I daresay as a car forum I daresay the "PC police" would accuse us of something ridiculous like promoting drinking & driving! :shake:
