Ordered a snorkel air intake to replace the rusty thing that's on the car at the moment which was annoying me, although as it doesn't leak probably should just paint it or something. Don't suppose anyone knows the part number for the gasket/seal between it and the body if it's available? Can't see it on Rimmer Bros.

I made my own from some 20mm wide, self-adhesive neoprene strip from eBay. The stuff I used was 10mm thick but this was too much; if I was doing it again I'd use 6mm.

I also spent a fair amount of time straightening out the base of the snorkel (mine was plastic) as it was distorted from being overtightened previously.

Hope this helps.

Just been out for a lovely top down run in the glorious sunshine over the Presell Hills, down to Newport (Pembs) and then on to Fishguard for an ice cream sitting by the harbour in Lower Town.

Makes you glad to be alive!

Over the last week or so I have done a few things. Had a new power flow exhaust fitted along with a Mike Satur s/s heat shield cover. I have up graded my interior lights to led's. Also painted centre console and door cappings the same as the car. 73008.jpg[/attachment]

The pockets came with the car when I bought it last year. I think I've seen them in the MGOC catalogue. Hope that helps?

Hammerite dark green is a great match for BRG, I've just done my front subframe with it.

I managed to squeeze a few hours out of the weekend to get the from subframe from the back garden through the house and out to the drive on Saturday
and on Sunday I got it hanging from the rear mount bolts, it's not quite square yet but at least it's progress.

I am having a challenging time this weekend.

I struggled to get all four sub frame mounts fitted and then found that MGF rear mounts only have three holes so unless I add another hole I can't fit the TF cross braces and if I drill the hole in the mount is there a hole in the chassis?

Then I went to finish painting the front hubs to find the discs are starting to wear so I ended up killing endless drill bits drilling and two hours the disc screws out of the hubs.

This afternoon I also realised that I need to drill the inner wing on the F to fit the TF shocks and killed two hole drills.

And the only way to get the plastic air dam on seems to be with the sub frame out of the car.

I've given up for now. :(
