Posted 7 years 7 months ago #177153I also spent a fair amount of time straightening out the base of the snorkel (mine was plastic) as it was distorted from being overtightened previously.
Hope this helps.

Hammerite dark green is a great match for BRG, I've just done my front subframe with it.

Posted 7 years 6 months ago #177275and on Sunday I got it hanging from the rear mount bolts, it's not quite square yet but at least it's progress.

Posted 7 years 6 months ago #177385I struggled to get all four sub frame mounts fitted and then found that MGF rear mounts only have three holes so unless I add another hole I can't fit the TF cross braces and if I drill the hole in the mount is there a hole in the chassis?
Then I went to finish painting the front hubs to find the discs are starting to wear so I ended up killing endless drill bits drilling and two hours the disc screws out of the hubs.
This afternoon I also realised that I need to drill the inner wing on the F to fit the TF shocks and killed two hole drills.
And the only way to get the plastic air dam on seems to be with the sub frame out of the car.
I've given up for now.
