I just used epoxy resin on mine.

I'm not sure that they make much difference, I ducted both intake pipes to them.... so I suppose the induction air is cooler than from the engine bay

If it was me fitting a set - and I may be shortly cos they do look the dogs, I would be using Sikoflex, a silicone type adhesive, but used in the automobile trade to bond glass windscreens into the frames. Its sticky as anything, firm but flexible....but you must warm it up before application, ie drop it into a bucket of hot water or leave it on the top of a radiator. See link below....

That would also be my conundrum also....I would probably paint them, maybe leave the inside black...or paint the inside black depending on the colour that they came.
Incidentally, where did you get them from and do they have the internal ribs?

Mine came from car.mad.stylings on E -bay

He is in North Wales and does all sorts of stuff in fibreglass.

I sent him a couple of TF vents with my rough design of scoop on them in cardboard, and he made them from this .

He does them in batches , and may have some left., the MGOC also do scoops that look very similar,

side view....no louvres !
Not a perfect colour match, as my car is Mirage2, and tins of car spray never quite catch the colour change.

Sounds like something you'd get for the weekend from the chemist shop!
