There is a new bridge across the Mersey which opens to-night. The toll is £2 which you pay by phone 1hr to 23hrs after you cross it. If you don't pay in that time you also get a fine. The old bridge will close also so you can not dodge it

I have all my cars registered for the Dartford crossing so I can't forget to pay.

Yes, you set up a d/d for £30 and you get a sticker and then you get 10% off so it's £1:80

They can "do one", I'd rather drive all the way around on the M56 - out of principal - but then I don't live or work either side of Runcorn so I can afford to be choosy when I do have to cross for lesuire...

I now drive around via M6

Otherwise its an additional £8 per day (I take my wife to work and pick her up in the evening)

Its 11 miles further (£5 in fuel per day) and 6 mins longer.

Well pissed off now!

The alternative is I, who live 200 miles away and am unlikely to ever use your bridge will pay for it.
