Recommend me a catalytic converter
Are there any particular catalytic converters that are reliably passing MOT and are readily available for a reasonable price?
I'm asking as my MGF MK1 is having difficulties passing the emissions test, and I know I have been driving around with a dodgy lambda sensor (that I've since replaced), so I suspect the cat got damaged by a fuel mixture that was too rich.
Any links to sellers, Ebay listings etc are much appreciated.

Have you had the cat' really hot recently? Apart from last year when I chucked the car at the MOT station with little in the way of checks, I give it a spirited run of at least 10 miles having got everything hot.

I do tend to drive spirited anyway, but the (busy) station I used had me wait so long that I'm sure things cooled down again. It's worth a try to find a station that will allow a test straight after an Italian tuneup I suppose.
Still interested in hearing about good cats though.

I replaced mine on the TF a few weeks ago from Darren at MGFNTFBITZ and it sailed through the MOT . The straight version for the F is cheaper at £ 98
