Im going to replace the front disks and pads on the 135 sunstorm. It has red AP callipers with the MG logo cast in the front but i have no idea if they are 2 or 4 pot APs. Is there an easy way to tell them apart without taking the callipers off ?

Rummaging around in the recesses of my head I seem to recall the two pot callipers are a little bigger than standard, where as the four pots are half as big again. Also the fours have a pipe which links the chambers together at one end. The front face casting, where the MG logo is imprinted,is in a figure of 8 shape, the lobes are two of the four pistons, the other two are on the inside.
It’s a while since I played with a set so there might be aspects which could be better described.

I think all Sunstorm variants had the four pot’s. I believe the two pots came too late for the Sunstorm. I have changed the four pots out from my Sunstorm for these single pot sliding calipers and 294mm discs. Despite appearing to be a retrograde step it’s actually an upgrade.
