Hydrogas pump up in Scotland
Hi have had the MGF for 3 years now, sat in the garage last year not used, just sailed through its MOT to my surprise. I need to get the suspension pumped up as the car is a little low.
I am based in Argyll Scotland, I phoned a few companies but they all seem to have stopped offering the service. Does anybody know of anywhere?
Many thanks
Alan

Yes looked at it.
The register is very out of date, spoke to a few people who have not offered the service for 5+ years or companies closed or in one case sold out to Halfords.
Anyway just bought my own pump and some fluid. So for £62.50 all in I can do it myself, 5l of hydrolastic fluid for £12.50 and a pump for £50.00.
Thanks
Alan

I think you did well on the fluid, as a point of interest who supplied it.

Thanks for that Alan, I know you can mix your own stuff up but if it were still £12-50, it wouldn’t be worth the initial ingredients or the faf.
Good stuff, to have your own pump & be ably to correct the ride hight is the very best way to look after your car. If you find yourself revisiting one side, the cars telling you it needs the spheres regasing.
And these days there’s greater choice for having them refurbished, fifteen years ago you were stuck with new old stock, units off scrap cars or early experiments with regasing.

This has happened to me a couple of times in the past. It's infuriating; more so because I don't understand why. I always copy my longer contributions into Windows Notepad before hitting the 'submit' button, just in case.

I suspect that these responses are the first in a long line of folk who have failed to get “one of the best posts I’ve ever written” down the tube for all to appreciate.
Have you started again Bryan or is it a stuff it moment?
My stuff it moment was after the third fail in half an hour, those who might have profited from my “wisdom (!)” managed without.

To avoid the forum timing out, highlight and copy the post youve just written before clicking Submit. If it does time out you can then start the reply again and paste it straight in without loss of words or time.
