Santa brought a set of stainless under bonnet screws.
All fitted except one. M8 taking a 13mm socket. It was the only one left in the bag from Grove Components. No washer.
Any ideas?

It won’t be for a horn bracket, you’ve spent a long time looking at those recently.

Not knowing which bolts you have already replaced, it's a bit of a sweepstake but here are my gambits. Could it be the battery clamp bolt or maybe the battery earth strap bolt?

Bruce, the thing is that all the other bolts in the pack are M6. This is the only M8.
I was in hope of catching someone who had already done this little job.
The battery clamp and earth strap screws are both M6.
I can live with having one screw over - only just.

If they came as a kit, you could try asking the supplier. Presumably, they would know.

Thanks Bryan. I promised to take a closer look at the whole screw arrangement and then take a photo with arrows for the screws. The owner of Grove Components (a classic MG owner himself and a man who really knows about restoration) expressed an interest in having that. If I can make a success of it, I will post the photo on here.
