guys and girls, i am in need of advice.

basically, i am a shiny / sporty thing magpie, and i want a spoiler on the back of my car :yesnod:

the problem is, theyre either very expensive, or chavvy.

any thoughts on an alternative marque one that might fit without too much fettling, and wont look tooooo boy racer?

many thanks, and virtual (even real if attending a meet any time soon) beer for any good suggestions.

Lee

Lee,

i don't know if you have an F or TF, and I am afraid I can't help with alternative marque's spoilers, but Paul set up a special arrangement with Carstyle for all sorts of body panels.

You can see the thread here which has the companies web link in ot. You can see pictures of F, Trophy and TF Spoilers.

Of course, these are brand new so will need prep and paint, but then you will need that for a spoiler from a different mark too, and I bet the spoiler itself will cost you more than these to buy anyway......

If you do fit an alternative marque's spoiler, remember to post some nice pics.

good Luck
Gary

David - in case it helps Lee see http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=406419&highlight=rover+45+spoiler - the CAR spoiler saves having to drill the boot which the HATCH spoiler requires. If anybody has a CAR spoiler with the side fittings I will bite your hand off (oh and a pristine T Bar cover in black also) as down here in "the wilderness" we have yet to start breaking Model T Fords :yesnod:

IMO, no, don't :nonod: do it. It'll look ridiculous. Like this one I posted earlier.

The fact that the MGF (and to a lesser extent, the TF)needs more front downforce means any spoiler is decorative at best.
One that actually increases rear downforce will make the light front even worse.
