The Border Patrol 2014 holiday.

We are planning The Border Patrol holiday for 2014 and we are already have a large number of committed members (or they should be committed ).

We are throwing this open to the forums as we still have space for another 2 couples.

Our holidays are usually enjoyed by all who join in and are based on The Border Patrol ethos of as little planning as possible. We do plan and book some nice locations, but the holiday itself is based on what the group wants. We usually enjoy the local roads, the local attractions and the local pubs. The emphasis is on having a good time and socialising.

This year we are planning on The Peak District as our base, which offers great roads and beautiful scenery.

We are looking at The Quarnford Lodge near Flash. http://www.quarnfordlodge.co.uk/

It is a large lodge offering en suite accommodation and large communal areas.

We have 7 rooms spoken for at the moment, which leaves 2 double/twin rooms. An additional twin is being held aside for someone who wants to come but as yet hasn't committed.

Dates? We are aiming for the week Friday 11th July 2014 to Friday 18th July 2014.

Costs? If we fill all the rooms we are looking at £395 per room, which works out as £197.50 per person.

I stress that this is in the planning stages at the moment. We cannot book the venue until we have achieved an acceptable level of people who are prepared to pay the deposit. Any money paid is non refundable unless we can fill the room with another couple.

OK, so bad news at the minute is that we have had 2 couples drop out today due to unforeseen circumstances.

We will let this run for this week to see if anyone else wants to join us, but if we cannot make up the 2 rooms we will have to start looking for a smaller accommodation.

Come on people. Start using your hard sell on your friends. It can't be difficult to sell a week of fun with great folks.
