Softly does that help?

'I started off with nuthin and still got most of it left!'

You know, I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realised
that people didn't like me anyway!

I agree with you! It is rather boring and run-of-the-mill, with an angry look on it's face . The back windscreen looks tiny and doubt you'd be able to see much. Where has the bottom of the rear gone?! There is just a big gap! And that front bumper would scrape most speed bumps I've seen. The alloys look more like flowers than wheels, and I thought that would be a selling point to me, but nooo.

I like this comment: "This is an MG in name only. Not interested in buying any more Chinese junk that I already do."

I joined the MGCC China  :
http://www.mgclubchina.com.cn/News/ShowArticle.asp?ArticleID=77

I wrote an article about it :yesnod: :
http://www.mgenthusiast.com/features/your-mgs/581-your-mgs-meeting-the-new-breed-of-mg-enthusiast

I have even sent them pictures of what MGs we want in the UK and bought one of their new MGs just to prove I am serious. :broon:

Be patient, some of us are working on convincing them to get their pencils sharpened, so stop whinging!

Good on you Martin!

The elephant decided to visit me again this afternoon so I am not quite myself :(

Clive has been looking for that elephant ever since Simon went on holiday last year, oh was it the year before?? it has been wandering around the forum for ages and now you have got it. Could you place it in a small cardboard box, containing some elephant food and post first class back to Clive (i will PM you his address) just in case there are any more to be returned. Did this one appear to have any red wine stains on the outside?? because we are still looking for the culprit who spilt the red wine on the carpet.

Get well soon XX :hugs:

I can second that, it does look a bit Oriental somehow. Rather over designed but I can see how that happens with zero wriggle room between legislation and the wind tunnel. The 6 isnt a bad car and good value, but 2 x the size we need in a daily driver, Would I buy a 5, I have to say the Octagon on its nose doesnt give it a headstart for me. if only Boyers had let Alchemy buy MGR back in 2000. We would be on the 3rd generation of fabulous sports cars by now. And they would have that indefinable "British" feel. They would be bit more upmarket though.

Before getting carried away discussing the ins and outs of the yellow car, those pictures were, I think, by AutoExpress and were based on the fact that SAIC and GM are in partnership sharing platforms. Consequently the artist at AutoExpress took a Solstice and dreamt up an MG version. These images have nothing to do with SAIC or MG.
