"Superchips used to provide a Piggy-Back chip for earlier versions of MEMS (1.9 and 2J) - no idea whether this option remains available, but might be worth contacting them.
Gain? Well, it alters the ignition map to make use of the higher octane fuels available in Northern Europe - so really the maximum gain is around 5%, but 3% is probably around the level you're most likely to find. Gains are usually much greater on turbocharged engines."
£110 and the need to use Super Unleaded to get the full benefit ??? ..... Cold air induction or a Toyosport manifold and downpipe will probably give you more bang for your money.

Mine worked well on a 1.4 16v in my Metro.
I reprogrammed it for a VVC and re-wired it for my VVC, but never fitting it (other than testing that it worked) before I got my Emerald.
Here's a review from MG Mad - He's pretty level headed and has a twin-charged K-Series.

And you should be able to pick one up for less than that - they used to sell between £40 and £100. I'm pretty sure I still have the programming lead and software for them too...
