You could be right the regarding the postage...
Out of curiosity, when it comes to postage who are you using? I've been booking through www.parcel2go.com which will give you a pretty good idea on price and a number of different options too
they wont quote due to size and weight without full delivery and collection addresses...

Regarding parcel2go, if I know the area but don't have a full address, I look up local businesses and use their address to get an idea on postage. Chances are the cost will be the same for the local area.
