I bought the car last year for £1850 around spent around £700 in improvements and repairs. All jobs were carried out by proper garages.

This car is a monogram edition which is rare paint (code IAP) there are not many of these about so it really stands out. I have only seen one more of these in all my time driving and attending runs with my MG friends.

The only thing letting this car down is that it had a bumper prang in 2004 before I bought the car, I didn’t know when I bought it and can’t tell that it’s been repaired but due to this it is registered as CAT D on the insurance register.

In their words
“Cat 'D' Lightest damage of all the categories. Vehicles of this category are vehicles which the retail repair costs were below the pre accident value of the vehicle. In some circumstances the car could still be uneconomic to repair. The car can be repaired and put back into the market without the need for a VIC.”

This was very light cosmetic damage but I’m being honest and up front about it. The car has passed every MOT since and I always get the RAC / AA to check all the cars I buy and they reported no problems with the car. I have a copy of the HPI report. It doesn’t affect anything with the car it’s currently insured for £3.5k. To find one of this quality you’d be looking at spending nearly £3k.

This is a fun car and will put a smile on your face, it’s very reliable and handles brilliantly and a head turner. As said previously it’s an unplanned sale someone will get a nice motor.

These cars are cheap to run and insure. If you join the MG Car Club you qualify for discounted insurance through Peter Best car insurance. My policy costs me £300 per year fully comp with an agreed value of £3.5k.

Now the other boring stuff.

• 7 Previous Owners (Current one since Feb 2012).
• Registered on 01/03/2004 (9 year this year).
• MOT due 21/09/13.

Now the boring stuff.

Remember you are buying nearly a 9 year old car, although the car looks amazing when polished like all used cars there is always some slight blemishes / stone chips.

Looking at serious offers from people who can actually buy the car. For me to break even on what the car cost me plus the work I’ve had done it would cost me £2k. I just want to pass this onto someone who can enjoy it as much as I have done.

These cars were £17,745 new and has a current market value of (glasses guide):

Forecourt £3,490
Private Sale £2,620
Trade In £2,260
Auction £2,090

So I’m selling at £1200 for the car or offers close to this.

The car is located in Bolton on Dearne, Rotherham. 15 mins for Barnsley J37 M1 and Doncaster J37 A1.

Test drives welcome if you put the money in my hand, happy to take you out for a spin but if you crash, you pay sorry.

All bids are binding, cash on collection and collection within 7 days of the auction ending.

Please no time wasters and SERIOUS offers only.
