Stupid question time: Is it possible to change the non mapable ecu out of a 96f with a mapable later ecu? As much as I would like an Emerald type they are all out of my price range.

You can change a mems1.9 to a men's 3 but you would need to change the loom.

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth overdoing

not expensive but definitly a pain. I think quick spider was talking about making a loom adaptor so 2j's can run a 3 ecu

coil packs change altogether on the conversion. on the 2j there under the inlet and bolted to the block. On the 3 they're on top of the rocker cover

The mems 3 coil connectors are different to the mems2j connectors.

Is it just the ECU?

Doesn't one need it matched to the alarm?

Ball park figure?

It doesn't need the 5as. After remapping ZnF remove the need to match the units. However I won't need the 5as or the fobs so I'll include them anyway.

Also I'll include the certificate that mark gives you to prove its ZnF and the "tuned by ZnF sticker" that I never fitted

It cost me 200 to get done, I'm after 150
