Anyone know where I might find a Toyosport back box for my Mk2 F? Pretty please?

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

Dave,
Be aware that the hangers have been reported to be poor quality on a number of the Toyosport backboxes.
Not trying to put you off, just better to know beforehand ;)

Thanks Rich. Good advice. Is there a way of buying better hangers to start with or are they welded onto the system already?

Alternately - any suggestions for a throaty back box that isn't 1) ridiculously loud (likely to draw the attention of the 5-0) or 2) Ridiculously expensive (likely to draw the attention of Mrs Dave) ?

Normally welded on already, but you could have the hanger welds 'beefed up'.

Its only the hangers on the later TF box that are weak. The box built for the F have the hangers welded on the sides and they appear much stronger than the hangers on the TF box that are welded on the top.
I have the Toyosport box on my F its been there for 3 years now without any problem.

The mark one F and early mark 2 F boxes as mentioned have the hangers welded on the side.I bought a late mark 2/TF box(I was thinking of buying a TF at some point)the box started to crack after about twelve months round the hanger mounts.I had a friend weld it up and it's very strong indeed now.

The toyo is a good sounding exhaust without driving you nuts on long trip I thoroughly recommend it.
Here's a snap of my friends repair.

Not sure what they are on ebay then but they have stainless steel ones on there for the price i said not sure on quality but seem a reasonable price plus manifold & down pipe for around the same price as the exhaust

I bought my Toyosports back box & manifold on Ebay & as they were auction items [new]. paid £166 & £42 respectively :P :P Very pleased with both.
You need to look under vehicle products/exhausts & enter MGF. Most are advertised at full price but if you trawl through the lists, there are some up for bids.
