Ski carrier for a boot rack

Hi all. Have recently bought a boot rack for my Mgf and am looking for a ski attachment thanks. Nick

TBH I've never seen a ski rack attachment for an F and am struggling to see how it would work.

not sure if it's the same fitment but I used a standard roof mounted bike carrier on my rack, it clamped onto the rack the same as it would cross bars on a car.

No Nick, not for skis, for a bike. If fitted to the last & first crossbars on the luggage rack & because the one closest to the roof is raised it gave enough clearance over the roof.

There are several types of boot racks ( at least 3 that I can think of) I have the same rack ( sans bike and bike carrier) as the one pictured with the bike, I think these might have been made by Thule. There were ski carriers for these racks as I have see them for sale in the dark distant past.
Maybe Thule could help you out, they probably wont still stock the ski carrier to suit but might have suitable rack mounting clamps to adapt one of their carriers to the racks bars using supporting struts fabricated to suit.

The ski carrier was one of the upgrades that was available for the MGF. I remember seeing a press photo of an MGF with ski's attached which i can't find at the moment however:
