Boot lock barrel

Has anyone an idea how to remove the boot lock barrel witout using a large drill? I don't want to damage the chrome bit because I am thinking of putting a rear view camera in the "lock bit" of an old lock I have (although I might spray the chrome black, same as the car). The small camera I've got would be a perfect fit, I'm fitting remote locking so the lock on the car will have to be removed I expect for the motor (EBay) to fit.
Thanks in advance

There is a large spring clip holding it to the boot.
IIRC there is a screw on the inside end holding it all together.

Then it is just the clip that needs to be removed. The spring of the clip holds the lock in position.
