Doorcard Change, MGF to MGTF and vice versa. was created by bensewell

So if you have either an F or TF you think that the doorcards are universal and will fit either.

Well they do the holes match up and everything but much to my displeasure I banged the card and some clips shattered.

I thought, Hmm very stange what could have done this?

The answer is simple.

The F and TF use different fixing lugs.

The F uses the thin blue ones and the door skin has a lug in it that catches the blue ones.

The TF uses bigger standard white door clips that go straight into the door without any special thing in the door.

So what you need to do is move the clips from the TF to F or F to TF which will make your door card fit in no problem.

Here is some pics:

1. F mk2 doorcard - notice all those blue thin things.

2. TF doorcard notice they are all white and bigger?

Then just push out the ones that you don't want and push the ones you do want in and hey presto!

And just in case the worst happens - Door card trim holder fix - Fixing a broken door card trim, holder clip.
