Last week i bought a pair of 2011 mirrors from ebay, i was so chuffed to get them for £113.00
As they were new and un used, i then paid£100.00 to get them sprayed pearl black, they looked the dogs do das ! I fitted them last night no problem, a straight swap, the car looks so much better and the field of
Vision has dramaticaly improved, i couldnt wait to get out early today!
The only let down and a big one at that, was the whistle noise between 55 and 75 ! I was gutted,
But the strange thing was the passenger side was ok , i did some tests with foam, tape , cling film and
Even silicone sealer , and the problem has been sorted, under the mirror housing there are 3 screw fixings and the holes are quite deep, and its this that was causing the whistle, a bit like blowing across the top of a champagne glass! I then filled the holes with clear silicone and this seems to work , i was so
Chuffed to get it sorted as they improve the look of the car no end

Ideally there should be some rubber bungs to push in , they must have noticed the noise when testing them ?
